Most three-minute tasks share one property: going over is the failure mode. A fourth minute turns noodles soft, thirty seconds sets an egg yolk solid, and an opening that runs past three minutes loses the room.
That makes visibility matter more than precision. While you prep the rest of the meal or move through slides, the PiP window keeps the count above whatever else is on screen.
Turn on the completion sound in settings if you also want an audible cue. Note that fully closing the browser tab ends the timer.
Switch on the completion sound in settings and let the sound mark the end. If a laptop sits on the counter, float the PiP window in a corner and keep the recipe open underneath it.
At first, yes. But rehearsing with the time visible is how you learn to pace a talk without looking at a clock on the day. Switching the display to the circular dial feels less pressing than falling digits.
